I help leaders turn strategy into movement. Most organisations know what they want to achieve, but struggle to turn intent into coordinated action. Priorities compete. Decisions slow. Teams wait for clarity. Progress stalls.
I work with leaders to break that pattern. I help you create the clarity, alignment and operating rhythm that allow your organisation to move with purpose.
My work focuses on three things.
1. Strategic clarity that drives action
I help leaders sharpen direction, simplify priorities and create a shared understanding of what matters now. When clarity rises, momentum follows.
2. Operating conditions that support the strategy
I align structures, roles and decision pathways so the organisation can move cleanly. When the architecture supports the work, teams stop fighting the system and start delivering through it.
3. Delivery support that builds capability and confidence
I work in short, focused sprints that validate assumptions, reduce risk and deliver visible wins. Teams learn by doing. Leaders gain confidence from real progress, not reports.
The outcome is simple.
Your organisation moves with intent.
Your leaders make clearer decisions.
Your teams deliver what the strategy demands.

Traditional consulting leaves you with slides and invoices. I work differently. My focus is on creating movement inside the organisation, not producing documents that gather dust.

I work with leaders to turn strategy into work people can actually deliver. That means sharpening priorities, building alignment and creating the conditions for teams to move at pace. I help remove friction, reduce noise and build confidence through visible progress.
My approach is practical and hands on. I work directly with your leadership team and the people who make the work happen. Together we create clarity on what matters now, how decisions get made and where accountability sits. With that clarity, teams move faster and leaders can lead rather than firefight.
I use short, focused sprints to test assumptions, reduce risk and deliver early wins. These sprints build momentum and capability. Teams learn by doing and gain the confidence to lead the change themselves.
I do not bring juniors or a library of frameworks. I bring experience, judgement and a small network of senior specialists I trust. When extra expertise is needed, I bring in the right people at the right moment. No overhead. No dependency.
The result is a way of working that is clear, confident and sustainable. Leaders make better decisions. Teams move with purpose. The organisation keeps improving long after I have stepped away.

I have been in the thick of transformation since the turn of the millennium, when QSS, the company I co founded with Richard Stevens and Jim Roberts and the original developer of the DOORS requirements tool, was acquired by Telelogic AB. Building something from scratch, scaling it and seeing it acquired was my first real lesson in what it takes to create something that works and grows with purpose.
Since then, I have helped organisations across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America turn strategy into action. My work has covered the full spectrum of transformation, from redesigning operating models and modernising technology to strengthening innovation, improving processes, building shared services and developing the internal capability needed to sustain change.
Along the way, I have worked with organisations such as Barclays, Bank of Ireland, DS Smith, Holcim, First Group, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation and the Big Innovation Centre, both from inside industry and as a consultant and advisor to senior leaders. That combination shapes how I approach every engagement.
My approach is grounded in financial discipline and structured delivery, which comes from being a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Prince2 practitioner.

That’s the spirit behind Rokaboat.
I help leaders uncover the “notions” already inside their organisation: the insights, ideas and truths that fuel innovation and make change stick.
And when it’s time to rock the boat, I make sure it’s done with purpose, not chaos.
